Michael Bush still undecided

Michael Bush, senior Cardinal’s running back, has not made up his mind yet; in an interview yesterday, the first since he broke his leg while playing the season opener against Kentucky, Bush said that it was still too soon to know when and if he will play for the cardinal again, but that he was optimistic about the future. Nevertheless he might just get a medical red shirt and play for U of L in 2007. In any case this no decision is probably the best decision he could take. He has to wait and see how good his leg feels and then listen to what his coach Bobby Petrino’s advice.

NFL in China

NFL’s plans to have the Patriots play the Seattle Seahawks in China for next year’s preseason; no wonder there were dragons, fireworks and Chinese dances during the half time of the New England Patriots Vs Denver Broncos game on Sunday Night Football.

The problem rests on the rules. Can the Chinese public understand them? The NFL doesn’t seem to think that this causes a problem; it has already gone in partnership with Zou Marketing so coaches can receive proper training, as well as future teams. Translators will be needed so that the general public can be instructed. American Football is by no means an easy game to understand, even more so if you are not accustomed to see it everyday on TV.
Popularity of the game on our side of the world does not have any problems. It is on TV constantly and one could easily watch Football related programs 24/7/ without any problems.
The internet has also promoted the game and now that it is possible to wager on NFL and any other sports on sites such as hollywoodsportsbook.com.

New Orleans Saints back at home

The New Orleans Saints are proudly returning to their Superdrome today as they are hosting a match against Atlanta. The superdrome was destroyed by Katrina when it hit New Orleans over a year ago. It was then used as a shelter by more than 25 000 homeless people in desperate conditions. However the venue has gone through a remarkable make over and is now ready for action. It goes without saying that the city of New Orleans is in a turmoil caused by the excitement of having their team back again. The last home games were held in Louisiana State University and in San Antonio in Texas. One home game was even played in the Giants Stadium in New York, so it is not surprising that New Orleans is feeling so elated about this event.

Hollywoodsportsbook.com is more than ready for this match as well and it is not too late to check in the site and start playing. Betting on NFL is more fun, easier and safer on hollywoodsportsbook.com, with less juice, and more signing up bonus up to 40%. NFL wants no more noise

NFL has decided that the fans should be quieter during the matches and has sent a memo to ask Seattle to keep the noise down this Sunday for the game against the New York Giants; to everyone’s surprise, Seattle has not hushed a word for the last 48hours, one might as well be walking in a ghost town. Wait until Sunday morning and see if they can keep quiet for that long. Chances are they will come out cheering and screaming “Seahawks”, as they always have done.

The league seems to think that the team is going to stay silent and are just going to sit down without uttering a sound while watching their team playing is so and unrealistic. One would think that NFL doesn’t know a thing about Football! Why not connect to hollywoodsportsbook.com for more detailed information.

Could have NFL done more to help after Katrina?

A year has passed already since Katrina devastated New Orleans with its 145 miles per hour wind and following floods. Warrick Dunn, Atlanta Falcon’s running back, was so shocked that he felt compelled to do something, anything, to help all these people, and he challenged all NFL players to give $5000 each. If all the players had been as generous and compassionate as him, this would have raised a sum of $8 millions! To date, Dunn has donated $381 000 to Habitat for Humanity to the community of Baton Rouge. He says he is not disappointed though, and is happy enough something could be done. The fact remains that this is the donation of approximately 76 players out of…How many? With a salary of $1.4 million a year for each player, one would have thought that more could be done.
Altogether, counting the NFL owners, the fans and the players, $22 millions was raised, and the league donated $15 million to rebuild the Superdrome. To the average citizens and mortals these sum may seem astonishing, but lets not forget that a franchise has a value of about $898 millions. Everything is relative. Hollywoodsportsbook.com has had regular coverage on this issue, and if you need to keep in touch on the latest NFL news or bet for real money for this Sunday match, visit us at hollywoodsportsbook.com, the dazzling fun online sportsbook offering juice as low as 5% every Friday, easy credit card deposits and a 40% sign up bonus…If you can get better elsewhere, let us know.

NFL says enough noise

Crowd noise is ok say NFL teams, what a better sound than that of the fans enjoying our game. The problem is, it doesn’t stop there, and clubs should have some sort of control over “manufactured” noise, especially when dealing with noise specialists hired for the occasions. And there is quite a cacophony going on; music, horns, whistles, drums, artificial crowd noise, mascots, wave cheer, etc. Some of these devices are not actually permitted. The use of scoreboards and message boards could be used to indicate when to make noise or not. Field level speakers are supposed to be limited to 4 and it is not unusual for the number to be exceeded, and in the middle of this deafening blast the teams complain that they cannot communicate with each other or with those of the bench area. If you wish to follow the results of your games in a quiet manner without the clatter, check out hollywoodsportsbook.com. We want more NFL

One only has to look back a couple of decades to realize how much the media has evolved over these past years, and adapted to come up to the expectations of the public. Today everything is fast and people want it all and they want it now. It is not exception in the NFL world. People used to wait for their daily newspaper each day, that was the magical moment of the day and everyone was happy with this. These days an NFL fan could in effect sit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in front of his TV screen and never even have to watch a repeat program! This may sound astonishing but this is the way of things today. Where is this going to end? Well it does not even end in the US anymore, as these programs on air throughout the entire world. And for those who have other things to do but still cannot let go, the radio station have no less than 75% of related NFL programs running on air during the season! Or you could have the TV on and still listen to the radio, just to make sure you not missing anything!

Gary Glitter banned from NFL

Everybody remembers Glary Glitter’s arrest and conviction for child molestation. Everybody also remembers that the teams used to play Rock and Roll, Part II, a song which pretty much held the title of Anthem as far as American sports is concerned.
The song, also known as the “Hey” song, has been part of NFL for as long as one can remember. The fact is, very few people are aware of the fact that Glitter co-wrote and performed the song. Glitter is currently in a prison cell in Vietnam serving a three year sentence after being convicted in 1999 for possessing child pornography. This is definitely not the kind of person you want to hear for the opening of an NFL game. There were few angry mails from fans who wrote to say it was out of order to keep on playing his music after what he did. They were asked to choose a new anthem for their teams, and the New England Patriots chose Elevation from U2 and the 1812 Ouverture. The Chiefs did not get away with it so easily, their fans wanted their old song back and they managed to located another version of Rock and Roll part II, incredibly enough, performed by the Tube Tops. The Broncos took the matter very seriously and finally settled on Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s “Go Daddy-0 and the band went as far as to record a special “Go Broncos” version. Why not check your Hollywood sportsbook site today and check out how you can vote and choose the new anthem for your favorite team.

Trent Green kept out of the field

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Trent Green will be kept out of the field as a precautionary measure despite all X-rays coming back negative.

Green, who rest at a local hospital and was kept for a second night, left Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on a stretcher in the third quarter with a concussion. With 4:52 remaining in the third frame, Green was flushed out of the pocket by Cincinnati's rush and headed to the right of the field.

Green then decided to keep the ball and scrambled five yards before beginning his slide. As Green began his descent to the ground, Geathers slammed into the quarterback, driving his upper body into the ground.

Green remained down on the field for about 11 minutes before being placed on a stretcher and carted off the field. Before his exit, Green had completed 11-of-15 passes for 90 yards with an interception. Then he was replaced under center by Damon Huard, who finished 12-of-20 passing for 140 yards with a touchdown pass.

Clinton Portis almost ready for Monday's season opener

Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis, who was sidelined with a separated shoulder since the Redskins' exhibition opener against Cincinnati on August 13, said that he is close to 100 percent healthy and is hopeful for Monday night's season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.

Portis missed the final three pre-season games and has been listed as questionable all week on the Redskins injury report. However, after participating in a light practice on Saturday, Portis said “I am 93.9 right now. I've still got two more days to get to 100 percent... At the rate things have been increasing, it looks pretty good. Being that the game is on Monday, hopefully I'll be at 100 percent".

Joe Gibbs, the Redskins head coach has said he wants Portis at 100 percent before he returns to the field. Gibbs indicated on Saturday that Portis could be available as a backup on Monday.

If Portis doesn't start, Ladell Betts will likely serve as the primary ball carrier for the Redskins.
